“I write books because I love to read books. I was already a reader long before I became a writer. My Mama Uni literally surrounded me with books since I was a baby so it’s not surprising that I learned to read at an early age. When I was a kid, my Papa Boy shipped me boxes of books since he knew I liked poems. Even now that I am an adult, I read every single day, not because I have to, but simply because I want to. I fell in love with books because they teach me new things, let me live different lives, and transport me to different worlds. As someone who enjoys reading stories that other people wrote, it was only natural that I wanted to write my own stories too. When I was a child, I created DIY books by sewing and stapling paper together. Now that I am a grownup, the Great Author, Jesus, has given me the chance to have my books published so that other children can read them too. Who knows?
