My first digital animated painting is dedicated to everyone who shines as a light of hope during dark times. Thank you to all our family, friends, readers & golden-hearted strangers for your goodness, love & concern that lifts us up when we feel tired & discouraged.

Ngayong pandemic ko lalong naintindihan how a single unexpected kind word or action or thought or prayer can start a tiny spark of hope just when we feel like losing hope. Even the simple asking of the question “Kamusta ka?” – and actually meaning it – can already help us feel connected when we feel isolated.

Thank you for sharing God’s hope & strength that keeps us going. Please continue to do the same whenever you encounter other people, since you don’t really know what they are going through.

And thank you for inspiring us to give hope to others in our own small ways as well, whether by Mama Uni’s cooking or my writing & doodling. It’s not always easy, but together, let’s keep the flame of hope burning for our country, our community, our families, our hungry kababayans in the street, and even the very person next to you.
