“Mama Uni and I were planning to spend her birthday this year simply and quietly as usual. My mom usually makes a lot of efforts for other people’s birthdays, but on her own birthdays and mine, we usually prefer to just chill and eat together for the past few years. But this year was her 65th birthday so I apologized to my mom because I didn’t have the strength or budget to hold a big party for her this 2018. She told me not to worry because she really does prefer simple celebrations over fancy parties. Still, we were surprised and thankful for our family and friends who unexpectedly reached out and made an effort to celebrate Mama Uni’s 65th birthday with her. 💗 You guys rock!
